Ultrasound Solutions for Condition Monitoring and Leak Detection
Model: UDK-CM, UDK-LK, UDK-VL, UDK-EI
The ultrasound receiver – available in four convenient kits – detects and converts ultrasonic (>20 kHz) noise produced by mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems down to an audible range you can hear. Changes in the amplitude and characteristics of the ultrasound are comfortably detected in noisy plant environments. Leaks are easily pinpointed. Electrical issues are safely exposed. Equipment problems such as bearing monitoring are diagnosed even earlier than other technologies such as infrared inspection and oil analysis, enabling ultrasound to complement traditional vibration monitoring methods and enhance condition-based maintenance programs.
Key features and benefits
  • Easy to use, “point and shoot”.
  • Uses a piezoelectric sensing element (like accelerometers).
  • Detects airborne and structure-borne ultrasound.
  • Leak detection is not specific to a kind of gas.
  • Costs a fraction of competitive systems.
  • Trusted in the world’s most demanding applications, including the International Space Station.
